History Of Hermes
The earliest reference of Hermes in Greek mythology was the story of when Hermes stole Apollo's cattle when he was just a baby. This story was around in the sixth century B.C. Hermes is mentioned in The Odyssey, The Epics By Homer, and The Iliad. He is also mentioned in some other stories by Homer about the Gods. Hermes is also referenced in some Greek poetry. This God was very popular in the more remote regions of Greece and the outer regions of Greece. Some people believe that he is the lord of Arcadia, they believe this because he was born there. Hermes was also a very big part in spreading the word because he could get to places very fast because he was the God of speed and he was the messenger of the Gods.
