The Domain of Hades
- The domain of Hades is the Underworld.
- He lives there with his wife, Persephone.
- There are five rivers of the underworld: Styx, Lethe, Acheron, Cocytus and Phlegethon. They each represent different things.
- Styx: Represents hate and is the most well known of all the rivers.
- Lethe: Represents forgetfulness and is used to make people forget their time on earth.
- Acheron: The word Acheron means "river of woe" and is the river by which the old ferryman Charon ferried the dead across from the land of the living to the realm of Hades.
- Cocytus: The word Cocytus means "river of lamentation" and it is where the people who died but who were not properly buried would spend most of their afterlife at.
- Phlegethon: This was known as the river of fire. It would burn but never actually burn anything up in its flames.
- Cerberus was a very large three-headed dog which guarded the gates of Hades. It was put there to guard the gates and prevent any ghosts from escaping.
